Monitoring Monitor Settings

For the past few months, someone lent me a flat screen monitor and, though the image quality did not measure up to my standard 19" monitor, it freed up almost a third of my desk space.
Yesterday, I reinstalled my old 19" monitor. I don't know if something's wrong with it. I calibrated it (Adobe Gamma), but my pictures posted on Blogger seem very dark and ugly. Ouch! They were of course edited with the other monitor.
If anyone has a minute and a well-calibrated monitor, could you please let me know if my pictures of Winterlude seem very dark and low in contrast? Thank you.
